Training and education
Radicalisation processes and extremism of all kinds remain challenges for society as a whole, with which numerous professional groups and, above all, specialists from the police, child and youth welfare services and our schools are confronted. In our experience, many people feel powerless or overwhelmed when they are confronted with these phenomena and radicalised individuals for the first time. Oftentimes, the question as to whether the radicalisation process was recognised too late or not taken seriously enough.
The IZRD supports professionals in dealing with relevant topics and aims to raise awareness of radicalization processes, extremism and the associated challenges and ways of dealing with them and to give them the confidence to act. Our training and further education courses are participatory, practical and action-oriented and are geared towards your specific needs.
We have particular expertise in the following areas:
- Conspiracy theories/narratives and disinformation
- Religiously motivated extremism (islamism, salafism)
- Transnational extremism (turkish ultranationalism)
In addition, we offer well-founded knowledge and experience on issues concerning child welfare risks and extremism. We are already supporting child- and youth welfare organisations as well as youth welfare offices in Germany in this realm.
